The F522 Lounge Chair, designed by Geoffrey D. Harcourt, is part of the iconic F500 series by Artifort. Developed from Harcourt\u2019s vision of informal, intuitive lounging, the series is shaped around the natural posture of the human body, combining generous comfort with a clear sculptural presence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Originally introduced in 1984 and reissued in 2026 alongside the related F518 Lounge Chair, the F522 is defined by its generously proportioned seat and distinctive molded shell with a removable upholstered seat pad. This layered construction enhances the chair\u2019s tactile character while maintaining the supportive comfort and enveloping form that define the collection.<\/p>\n

Upholstered in high-quality fabric or leather, the carefully tailored elements highlight the refined contours of the design.
